The problem is that a speaker can only sound as good as its surroundings allow. Not only an acoustic processing of the room is often mandatory, but the correct placement of the speakers is also important. If you place them on an inappropriate piece of furniture, all the quality and details that the speaker can deliver may be lost. But not only the ground, but also the height and distance to your listening place must be kept in mind.
That’s where the Pro-Ject Tristand comes in. A speaker stand is often overlooked, but plays an important role in sound quality. With its three height-adjustable steel spikes, the Tristand offers a stable stand that decouples the speaker from the ground. This makes it easy to position your speakers in the right place and create the optimal listening position: the Sweet Spot. There are also spikes on the top plate to place your speaker on it. Spikes are designed to reduce the contact area and minimize vibration interference, allowing speaker vibration to be diverted through the stand to the floor.
By minimising these vibrations, bass response becomes clearer and more controlled. It also helps to highlight fine details, which further enhances the stereo image. If you do not want to place your speakers on the spikes, we also offer microporous rubber pads.
